Four applications,
one database
The point isn't that there are four. The point is that they talk to each other.
Point of Sale

one database
One database
What “they talk to each other” means
Six exchanges that exist because data isn't copied from one application to another: it is the same data.
Lab → Point of Sale
Stock isn't kept twice
When the Lab is in use, its raw-materials stock — with batches, expiry dates and costs — becomes the only one, and the till gets a read-only view of it. Not two lists to keep in step by hand.
Delivery note (DDT) → Lab
A recipe's cost follows purchase prices
You load the supplier's delivery note with the higher cream price, and the margin of every flavour that uses it changes on its own. The real price comes with the invoice, and reconciling it is the job of the Delivery Notes module.
Point of Sale → Lab
The production plan comes from what you sold
Consumption comes from the till: you don't type it in again.
Staff App → Point of Sale
Whoever clocked in, the till knows too
The app's clock-ins and the sales sit in the same database, tied to the same location: the till reads who is in the shop right now without anyone telling it.
Manager → Staff App
The shift you plan arrives on the phone
Plan the week from the console and whoever is working finds it on their phone, with a notification. No sheet pinned up in the lab, no message to type out again.
Manager → Point of Sale
You write the allergens once
The allergen register you fill in on the console is the one the counter shows and the one that ends up on the receipt. A gelato shop created from the console is already set up at the till.
The four applications
Each one sits where it is needed — at the counter, in production, in your pocket, in the office — and none of them keeps an archive of its own.
